Tuley is a respected, family-owned disability support organisation seeking a confident, professional Female Disability Support Worker to join our team in Yanchep. This role is essential in providing support to a woman with an intellectual disability and psychosocial needs, helping her to build confidence and independence in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support the participant in building independence while spending time alone at home and in the community, separate from her mother.
- Assist in navigating family and co-dependency dynamics with maturity, ensuring healthy boundaries and identity.
- Provide active, hands-on support with home organisation and decluttering to maintain a safe and organised living space.
- Encourage personal growth by fostering independence rather than reinforcing dependency.
- Engage in activities that promote confidence and self-esteem, while ensuring a supportive and respectful environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience with psychosocial disability and/or complex family dynamics.
- Willingness to support active decluttering and home organisation.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Physically fit for home and community support.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and challenge gently.
- Practical and organised, with a good sense of humour and enjoyment of animals.
