We are seeking a detail-oriented SMSF Accountant to join our dynamic team in Sydney CBD. This permanent, full-time role is essential for managing self-managed superannuation funds, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations, and providing expert financial advice to our clients. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our clients’ financial goals while contributing to the overall success of our accountancy practice.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and lodge SMSF annual returns and financial statements
- Conduct audits of self-managed superannuation funds to ensure compliance with legislation
- Provide tax advice and support to clients regarding their SMSF
- Assist clients in the establishment and maintenance of their SMSF
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all SMSF transactions
- Liaise with clients to address queries and provide exceptional customer service
- Stay updated with changes in legislation affecting SMSFs and implement necessary changes
- Collaborate with other team members to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in SMSF accounting or a similar role
- Strong understanding of Australian superannuation laws and regulations
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
