About the RoleÌý
The Assistant Service Manager is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and management of workshop operations acrossÌýtheÌýPerth Team. The Assistant Service Manager will utilise their heavy vehicle mechanical experience to support technicians with diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair planning, and technical escalations while maintaining operational oversight of workshop performance, productivity and service delivery. Ìý
Key ResponsibilitiesÌý
- Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshops, ensuring productivity, efficiency and service standards are achievedÌýÌý
- Coordinate workshop workflow, technicianÌýutilisationÌýand job allocation to maximise labour recovery and customer satisfactionÌýÌý
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex diagnostics,ÌýtroubleshootingÌýand technical enquiriesÌýÌý
- Liaise with OEM technical support teams whereÌýrequiredÌýto resolve complex vehicle issuesÌý
- Supervise,ÌýmentorÌýand develop workshop technicians and apprenticesÌý
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding and succession planning activities asÌýrequiredÌý
- Work closely with Service Advisors and the Warranty team to ensure effective communication and coordination of repair activities Ìý
- Monitor workshop capacity and resources to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and within agreed timelinesÌý
- Support the WA Warranty & Service Manager in delivering operational objectives and business outcomesÌý

- Proven experience in a Workshop Manager, Workshop Supervisor, Leading Hand,ÌýForemanÌýor similar leadership roleÌýin a heavy vehicle workshop environmentÌý
- Strong diagnostic,ÌýtroubleshootingÌýand fault-finding capabilities across heavy vehiclesÌýÌý
- Sound understanding of workshop operations, workflowÌýmanagementÌýand technician productivityÌýÌý

- Sound understanding of warranty processes, repairÌýdocumentationÌýand workshop systemsÌýÌý

- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable operating across multiple sites Ìý
- Computer literacy and experience using workshop management systems such as Pentana or similarÌý
