About the RoleÌý

As an Automotive Electrician, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems within our vehicles. YourÌýexpertiseÌýwill ensure the smooth functioning of electrical components, ranging from lighting systems to advanced vehicle control systems. You’llÌýwork on a diverse range of heavy vehicles and equipment, including emerging EV technology, helping ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of essential transport operations across the country.Ìý

Ìý

Key ResponsibilitiesÌý

• Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic equipment/software.Ìý
• Repair or replace faulty wiring harnesses, connectors, switches, relays, etc.Ìý
• Install new electrical components such as audio systems, lightingÌýaccessoriesÌýor security systems.Ìý
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on vehicle electronics.Ìý
• Test repaired/replaced components to ensure proper functioning.Ìý
• ProvideÌýaccurateÌýtime estimates for completion of tasks.ÌýÌý
• KeepÌýup-to-dateÌýwith advancements in automotive technology/electrical systems.Ìý

ÌýToÌýbe successful in this role, you will have:Ìý

• Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems.Ìý
• ProficiencyÌýin diagnosing and troubleshooting complex electrical problems.Ìý
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams.Ìý
• Experience with installing aftermarket electronic accessories.Ìý
• Familiarity with using diagnostic equipment/software.Ìý
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Ìý
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.Ìý
• Strong communicationÌýskills to effectively communicate with customers and team members.Ìý
• Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician or equivalent experience isÌýessential.Ìý
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Auto Electrician in the automotive industry.Ìý
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and safety standards.Ìý
• AdditionalÌýcertifications or training in automotive electronics will beÌýadvantageous.Ìý
