Vehicle Dealers International Pty Ltd (VDI) is the sole Australian distributor for Yutong buses. In Western Australia, VDI operates both the Perth IVECO dealership and Yutong Bus Centre WA, delivering industry-leading sales,ÌýserviceÌýand parts support.ÌýÌý

We are seeking an experiencedÌýSpareÌýParts Interpreter, preferably with a background in the Heavy Vehicle Industry but would not exclude anyone with a strong mechanical or related parts background. The core purpose of the Spare Parts Interpreter role is to consistently delight and satisfy our customers through theÌýtimelyÌýinterpretation and provision of their parts needs – both internally and externally. We operate Pentana/ERA systems and sound knowledge of these isÌýadvantageous.Ìý

This is a hands-on role, working closely inside our Parts Department servicing both our internal workshop and external customer base.Ìý

Ìý

You’ll be responsible for:

• Develop strong customer relationships both internally and externally.Ìý
• Provide parts advice and support to customers and workshops both internally and externallyÌý
• Prepare customer quotations, estimates & transactionsÌý
• Investigate any customer issues and quickly resolve themÌý
• Liaise with service, sales, and workshop staff, especially in the pro-active provision of partsÌý
• Raise purchase orders and associated parts administration within VDI’s systemsÌý
• Manage parts inventory, including monitoring and pro-active resolution of supply risksÌý
• Warehouse duties pick, pack, despatch and receive where necessary, including forkliftÌý
• Respond to and process incoming phone, email & face to face inquiriesÌý
• MaintainingÌýa high levelÌýof accuracy in parts interpretation and processing ordersÌý
• Accurately perform parts stocktakesÌý
• Ensuring orders are processed and dispatched to clientsÌýin a timely manner (Remove)
• Arrange shipment of orders with local couriers (Remove)
• Other duties as assigned

Skills and experience:

• PreviousÌýexperience in a similar role, preferably working with Pentana systems preferredÌý
• Working knowledge of parts and accessories for heavy duty vehiclesÌý
• Ability to work autonomously whilst actively supporting the broader teamÌý
• High attention to detailÌý
• Parts stocktake and control experienceÌý
• High level focus on consistently delivering great customer serviceÌý
• Knowledge of freight processes for delivery of freight to customersÌý
• Safe and compliant operation of forkliftÌýat all timesÌý
