The Opportunity – Floral Merchandiser

We’re seeking a talented and enthusiastic Floral Merchandiser with a keen eye for design, a genuine passion for flowers, a natural flair for customer engagement, and exceptional customer service skills to service North-East Melbourne (Preston and surrounds). If you’re creative, detail-oriented, and love working in a dynamic retail environment, we’d love to hear from you!

This is a flexible casual position working 4–6-hour shifts over 2-3 days per week. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in:

Responsibilities:

• Designing and creating attractive floral displays that align with seasonal trends and customer preferences.
• Maintain the quality and freshness of floral products by monitoring stock levels and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Assist customers with floral selections, providing expert advice on arrangements and care.
• Collaborate with the retail team to ensure effective merchandising strategies are implemented.
• Participate in promotional events and assist in setting up displays for special occasions.
• Keep the floral department clean and organised, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in floral merchandising or a related field.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage and assist customers effectively.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Proven ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 15 kgs.

Please note: A current clean Australian Driver’s Licence and own reliable car is essential for this position.
