About the position
We are currently seeking an experienced Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (B1.3/B2) to join our highly skilled teamÌýin a touring capacity. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager and operating within a CASR approved Part 145 organisation, this role will be required to carry out maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, assembly and/or testing on the aircraft fleet in a safe and efficient manner and to a high standard.ÌýÌý
This positionÌýwillÌýwork aÌý7:7 roster pattern andÌýwillÌýtour regularly across all basesÌýincluding Broadmeadow,ÌýBelmont,ÌýTamworthÌýandÌýLismore.ÌýIdeally, the successful candidate willÌýresideÌýwithin one hour from anÌýoperational baseÌýto support operational readiness and response requirements.Ìý
Note –ÌýThe ServiceÌýwelcomes applications fromÌýcandidatesÌýlocatedÌýin other regions, provided theyÌýresideÌýwithin one hours of a commercial airport andÌýare able toÌýmeet roster and operational travel requirements.ÌýÌý
Key Responsibilities of the role include:Ìý
- Perform maintenance activities including majorÌýaircraftÌýinspections,ÌýrepairsÌýand overhaulsÌýin accordance withÌýapproved company,ÌýmanufacturerÌýand airworthiness authority manuals.Ìý
- Conduct hybrid trouble shooting,Ìýaddress recurrent technical problemsÌýandÌýensure all maintenanceÌýand defect rectification is carried out to the relevant design and quality standards.Ìý
- Complete documentation inÌýan accurateÌýandÌýtimelyÌýmannerÌýin accordance withÌýcompany requirements.Ìý
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders through a commitment to the Service’s values ofÌýCompassion,ÌýUnity,ÌýAccountabilityÌýandÌýIntegrity.Ìý

- Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) Qualification:
- CASA Part 66 Dual-rated Category B1.3/B2 Licence with AW139 Type RatingÌý–ÌýPreferred
- CASA Part 66 Category B1.3 Licence (No Exclusions) with AW139 Type RatingÌý–ÌýAcceptableÌý
- CASA Part 66 Category C Licence with AW139 Type RatingÌý–ÌýNot essential
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Strong verbal and written communication skillsÌý
- IT literate with the ability to effectively utilise Aviation, Safety and MS Office SoftwareÌýÌý
- Strong focus on safety and quality with attention to detail
- Behaviour, culture, and attitude that aligns with Company values
- Proven experience working in an EMS / SAR environment will be highly regardedÌý
