The Opportunity
Wild Desert is seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor – RigsÌýto join our team in Roma on a 2/2 Roster.
TheÌýMechanical Supervisor – RigsÌýis responsible for ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed to the highest standard and adhere to Wild Desert’s Preventative Maintenance System and Quality Management System.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and conduct the work documented on the Work Plans for all areas of Wild Desert operations including New Builds, Refurbishments and preventative maintenance schedules
- Adhere to all scheduled Work Plans and supervise Trades Team to do the same
- Collaborate with Stores, Purchasing and your Trade, Business Operation Officer to ensure correct parts and equipment are available
- Ensure all work is completed at a high standard and in a timely manner
- Demonstrate good leadership to the Trade Team
- Identify, report and resolve complex mechanical issues or potential defects
- Document inspections, test results, repair work done and record upkeep
- Attend to field breakdown situations when required
- Regular field visits for equipment/asset inspection
- Complete work tasks as assigned in Business Management System
- Ensure that mechanics and apprentices are adequately trained, equipped and motivated
- What we’re looking for
- Qualified Diesel Mechanic with at least 5 years’ experience with demonstrated leadership skills or previous Supervisor experience.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Utilise your technical skills and expert mechanical knowledge to provide training and support for teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ensure good leadership is demonstrated at all time and team’s morale remains high
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Oil and Gas Field experience is favourable but not essential
