The opportunity

As our Senior Payroll Officer, you will play a pivotal role in deliveringaccurate,timely, and compliant payroll services for Radiology SA employees. Supportingthe end-to-end payroll function, you will ensure all payroll activities are processed efficiently andin accordance withrelevant legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements, andorganisationalpolicies.

In this role, you will provide experienced support across a broad range of payroll responsibilities, including the management of complex payroll matters, compliance activities, reporting requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.Reporting tothe Payroll & Compliance Manager, you will contribute tomaintainingbest-practicepayroll processes and supportingorganisationalcompliance obligations.

You will work closely with People & Culture, Finance, and internal stakeholders to ensure payroll services are delivered witha high levelof accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism, while contributing to a positive employee experience across theorganisation.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity; however, part-time arrangements of 0.8 FTE will be considered for the right candidate.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Managethe end-to-end processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and policies.
  • Maintain employee payroll records and process payroll changes, including new starters, employment variations, terminations, leave entitlements, and complex payroll calculations.
  • Prepare payroll reporting, support audit activities, andassistin ensuring ongoing compliance with payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and workplace obligations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll enquiries, resolving issues and providingaccurateadvice and support to employees and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to payroll process improvements, system enhancements, and the maintenance of payroll procedures and documentation.

About You:

  • Minimum5years’ experience in a Payroll Officer or similar role
  • Proficiencyin MicrosoftOffice, includingExcel and Outlookand experience using payroll systems (e.g., 91)
  • Experience working with modern awards and enterprise agreements in a healthcare or similar setting.
  • Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, and superannuation requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail anda high levelof accuracy
  • Excellent time management,organisational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
  • Exposure to award-based environments and/or healthcare is highly desirable
