The SeniorÌýAccounting SpecialistÌýis responsible forÌýoverseeingÌýday-to-dayÌýaccounting operations and ensuringÌýaccurateÌýfinancial records across multiple legal entities. This role requires aÌýdetail-orientedÌýprofessional with strongÌýhands-onÌýbookkeeping experience,ÌýadvancedÌýexcel skills (i.e.ÌýPowerÌýQuery,ÌýpivotÌýtables, macrosÌýetc.),Ìýthe ability to manage competing priorities, and a solid understanding ofÌýmulti-entityÌýaccountingÌýandÌýperiodÌýendÌýclose processes.Ìý

WhatÌýYou’llÌýBe DoingÌý

• MaintainÌýaccurateÌýandÌýup-to-dateÌýfinancial records across multiple entities, ensuring proper segregation, consistency, and integrity while processingÌýhigh volume dailyÌýtransactions.Ìý
• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including:
• AccountsÌýreceivable.Ìý
• Bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.Ìý
• Vendor reconciliations.Ìý
• Related party reconciliations.Ìý
• Journal entries and general ledger maintenance.Ìý
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes across all entities.
• Prepare and review intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and applicable regulations.Ìý
• AssistÌýwith financial reporting, including internal management reports.Ìý
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors asÌýrequired.Ìý
• IdentifyÌýprocess improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.Ìý
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as needed.Ìý
• Respond to finance‑related inquiries from internal stakeholders.Ìý

• Bachelor’s degree inÌýbusiness,ÌýfinanceÌýor similar field.Ìý
• 5+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience.Ìý
• Professional accounting designation or progress toward one is an asset.Ìý
• Demonstrated experience supporting multiple legal entities.Ìý
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations.Ìý
• ProficiencyÌýwith accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks or similar).Ìý
