We areÌýseekingÌýa strategic and detail-orientedÌýBusiness DevelopmentÌýSpecialistÌýtoÌýdrive growth through high-quality proposals, client engagement, and opportunity development. This role bridges business development, marketing, and technical delivery teams, supporting pursuits acrossÌýmultiple business lines.ÌýThe ideal candidate is both a strong writer and a proactive coordinator who can lead proposal development from opportunity identification through submission, while contributing to broader business development strategy.ÌýAlthough a full-time, Kamloops-based employee is preferred, part-time and remote work arrangements will be considered.ÌýÌý

KEYÌýRESPONSIBILITIESÌý

Business Development & StrategyÌý

  • IdentifyÌýand track new business opportunities across public and private sectors.Ìý
  • Support market research, client targeting, and competitive analysis.Ìý
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop pursuit strategies and win themes.Ìý
  • Build andÌýmaintainÌýa pipeline of qualified opportunities.Ìý

Proposal ManagementÌý

  • Lead end-to-end proposal development, including RFQs, RFPs, EOIs, and unsolicited proposals.Ìý
  • Develop proposal schedules, assign responsibilities, and ensure deadlines are met.Ìý
  • Coordinate inputs from technical teams (project managers, architects, consultants).Ìý
  • Ensure compliance with client requirements and submission guidelines.Ìý

Proposal Writing & Content DevelopmentÌý

  • Write, edit, and refine compelling proposal content, including executive summaries, methodologies, and team qualifications.Ìý
  • Translate technical information into clear, persuasive narratives.Ìý
  • Maintain and continuously improve proposal templates and content libraries.Ìý
  • Tailor messaging to align with client needs, project goals, and evaluation criteria.Ìý

Stakeholder CoordinationÌý

  • Act as theÌýcentral pointÌýof contact for internal proposal teams.Ìý
  • Liaise with subject matter experts to gatherÌýaccurateÌýand relevant information.Ìý
  • Coordinate with marketing for branding, graphics, and presentation materials.Ìý

Process Improvement & ReportingÌý

  • Track proposal outcomes, win rates, and lessons learned.Ìý
  • Recommend improvements to proposal processes, tools, and templates.Ìý
  • Maintain organized records of submissions, credentials, and project data.Ìý

QUALIFICATIONSÌý

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.Ìý
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, proposal management, or technical writing within consulting, architecture, engineering, or project management sectors.Ìý
  • Proven experience managing complex proposals with multiple contributors.Ìý
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.Ìý
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.Ìý
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.Ìý
  • ProficiencyÌýwith Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with proposal tools or CRM systems is an asset.Ìý

PREFERRED SKILLSÌý

  • Familiarity with public sector procurement processes (e.g., RFQ/RFP submissions in Canada).Ìý
  • Understanding of architecture, engineering, or project management services.Ìý
  • Experience with tools such as InDesign, SharePoint, or proposal automation platforms.Ìý

RENUMERATIONÌý

Employer’s reasonable expectation of base pay for the job at the time of posting isÌý$85,000Ìýto $115,000Ìýannually.
