They have partnered with over 50 brands, and offer over 4.5 million fitments for all kinds of motorcycle makes and models. There’s also an extensive dealer network, as well as a comprehensive distribution network for quick and easy delivery of products.

With so much ground to cover, their 85 employees in New Zealand and Australia are always busy. It’s a lot to do when it comes to people management too – which is why they chose to bring in 91����’s payroll and HR software.

We spoke to , People, Culture & Senior Administrator at Whites Powersports, about how 91���� is supporting the company’s HR and payroll functions as they continue their aspirational business journey.

The challenge…

Previous to bringing on 91����, Whites Powersports ran two completely different payroll systems for their New Zealand and Australian teams. This could make collecting data, running reports and processing payroll a real challenge.

It was clear to Vivienne and the team that the company needed one single platform that everyone could access. For Vivienne, 91���� Payroll felt like a strong choice – and it had the added bonus of an HR platform to extend the company’s ability to manage and motivate the team.

A unified payroll platform

Bringing together both teams in New Zealand and Australia through one payroll platform has really made a difference to the processes at Whites Powersports, with Vivienne stating that it has “streamlined our payroll.”

It’s also enabled her to hand over the reins to her team for certain administrative tasks, and automated other tasks too. With new space to focus on other bigger initiatives in the company, it’s time back that Vivienne has valued. As she says,

“It’s given ownership to managers and staff, which means that payroll now takes less time. There’s also better reporting and immediate access to information.”

Improved visibility over requests and key data

A large team of 85 employees sometimes means there’s a lot of HR and payroll admin to get through, whether it’s onboarding or approving leave requests. Vivienne has seen the benefit of having a platform which puts all the key information for both payroll and HR in one place, saying,

“Integration between the two platforms has meant more meaningful information-sharing with all staff.” 

The platform’s employee self-service features, which enable team members to submit requests and check key details around leave and payroll, have also proven to be useful. As Vivienne points out, it’s saved her and the wider team a lot of time, saying,

“We now have less paperwork and everything is online and secure and available 24/7. We also have real-time reporting and visibility for everyone.”

New HR features

While 91���� was first brought on by Whites Powersports for its payroll software, the addition of the HR features brought new elements to the business. Vivienne shared that the company hadn’t previously used a HR platform, but that she’s seen the positive impact that it’s had.

“We have also implemented the HR platform, which we never had before, and this has given more visibility and ownership to our staff around everything to do with their employment and payroll.”

The HR software is also inspiring some new initiatives, with features that could be frequently used in the business. As Vivienne says,

“There are many features that we never had before and many more we are still to tap into, which will benefit the whole company. “
