In recent years, the way Australians think and talk about pay has changed significantly.
This shift has been driven in part by a generational mindset change, as well as broader access to salary data, rising cost-of-living pressures, and a growing push for equity and trust in the workplace.
To understand how SMEs are navigating this shift, SmartCompany partnered with 91±¬ÁÏ to conduct a national survey of business leaders. The findings reveal that while many recognise the stakes, they still wrestle with uncertainty, especially around negotiation flexibility, internal tension and compliance.
Download this ebook for the survey findings and explore how SMEs are approaching pay transparency — what’s working, what’s holding them back, and the opportunities that come with doing it well. It also provides practical steps to help business leaders build a more open, confident and sustainable approach to pay.
