The Retail Services department operates two retail stores and as Café on and off campus with the aim to provide the students with the finest quality, best value products and services, served in a stimulating and well-maintained environment.ÌýÌý

Ìý

The role of Student Retail Assistant within this department involves all the duties of a shop operation, from cleaning and replenishing shelves, serving customers, and delivering high standards of customer service.Ìý

Ìý

This role is predominantly based at our Premier Store, although at other times you may be required to work in one of our other outlets. Full training will be given.ÌýÌýÌý

Ìý

The RoleÌýÌýÌý

• To serve customers, taking payment by cash and card and giving changeÌý
• Using tills, scanners and manual inputs to record salesÌý
• To fill shelves, rotating stock to ensure dates are currentÌý
• To receive deliveries, checking address details and delivery notesÌý
• To ensure compliance with HACCP documentation, risk assessments and health and safety regulationsÌý
• To be responsible for the general hygiene and tidiness of customer areasÌý
• To build and maintain effective working relationships whilst promoting our culture and valuesÌý
• To assist staff from other departments as required and any other duties that may reasonably be expected by the Retail Services ManagerÌý

Hours of WorkÌýÌýÌý

• No minimum hours guaranteedÌýÌýÌý
• Any five out of seven days, including weekends and evenings.ÌýÌýÌý

Hourly PayÌý

This is an hourly paid role and is remunerated at £12.71 per hour. No additional payments or allowances and no contractual entitlement to overtime.ÌýÌý

Ìý

Holiday PayÌý

12.07% holiday pay (accrued on all hours worked).ÌýÌýPaid monthly.
