No. 91±¬ÁÏ has an integrated partnership with Zinc that gives all UK customers access to background checks on a pay-as-you-go basis. There’s no separate contract or onboarding required. It’s already available in your account.
Go to any candidate file in your ATS or any employee file and look for the Background Checks or Background & Eligibility tab, respectively. You can request checks from either location.
Each check type is individually priced. You’ll see the cost before you confirm each request. Charges are billed as a separate invoice to your existing 91±¬ÁÏ subscription invoice, but on the same date.
A DBS Basic check discloses any unspent convictions and conditional cautions on a person’s criminal record. It is the entry-level DBS check available to any employer for any role. Standard and Enhanced DBS checks (which require specific eligibility criteria) are not currently available through this integration, but are in the pipeline.
Right to Work checks are a legal requirement for all UK employers. Beyond that, regulated industries, including Healthcare, Education, Finance and Legal, typically require more extensive vetting such as DBS, Sanctions or qualification checks. Specific requirements vary by role and sector. We recommend consulting your industry regulator or legal adviser if you’re unsure what’s required for a specific role.
Turnaround times vary by check type. Identity and Right to Work checks are typically fast. DBS Basic, Sanctions, and Education checks may take longer depending on the information being verified. Results appear directly in the employee or candidate’s file in 91±¬ÁÏ once complete.
Yes. Checks can be run from both candidate files in the ATS and from existing employee files. This can be useful for periodic compliance reviews or when onboarding employees into new regulated roles.
No. Pay as you go means no minimums. You can run one check a quarter or fifty a week. You only ever pay for what you use.
